Establish a Research Monitoring Site

Help expand Wisconsin's moose Observation Network.

Thank you for your interest in establishing a Research Monitoring Site with Hidden Moose of Wisconsin.

Research Monitoring Sites are part of a long-term effort to collect consistent wildlife data across Wisconsin. By following shared monitoring protocols and documenting camera effort, contributors help build a stronger understanding of moose distribution, habitat use, and changes over time.

We'll ask you to provide information about your camera location, habitat, camera setup, and monitoring approach. This information helps ensure observations collected across the network can be compared and used effectively for research purposes. Exact locations are used only for research purposes and are never shared publicly.

Research Monitoring Partners are encouraged to maintain their camera sites for long-term monitoring and follow standardized data collection practices, including documenting camera activity and wildlife observations.

Thank you for helping build the long-term record of Wisconsin's resident moose.
